On the back of an epically successful sold out Strength Camp, The Barbelle club is so excited to be moving forward with another amazing event!
Illuminati is an incredible 3 day weekend which has been designed for you to extend your training and coaching based knowledge, to try some new things that will rock your world and to connect with other female trainers and training enthusiasts. We have put together an packed timetable of activities and an incredible team of expert coaches who are going to deliver to you the best in physical and personal development (because #musclesandmindfullness!!).
Our aim is to elevate you to where you can move forward with your training, get after what you want and kick more goals in life. We hope that you leave with inspiration and practical tools which will positively inform your personal, training and professional journey while building connections with other badass women of strength along the way.
This weekend is only open to women who train strength. Powerlifters, CrossFitters, bodybuilders, strongwomen and anything inbetween. And the weekend has been designed for all levels, from novice to competitive athlete to coaches. We will be offering transport as a group between locations but you are welcome to use your own transport if you would rather.
This is how it's rolling out
This is what we have planned
To kick the weekend off we will be heading to the infamous Doherty's gym in Melbourne City. This training session will focus on hypertrophy (and it will also be an opportunity for us to get our party pump on before we head out for eats).
On Saturday morning we will be travelling to Iron Revolution where Aaron Scarborough will take us through a strongman/ odd implement training session. After the session, he will be sharing his thoughts on how to integrate strongman training into regular strength programs. This is an opportunity for you to learn from one of the best strength coaches in the country as well as experience a wide variety of new training methods.
After lunch, Jane Erbacher of the Your Revolution Podcast and The Me Project will be leading a practical session on "Limiting Beliefs". Jane is a Performance and Mindset Coach who educates and empowers people to live their best life. She'll be working with us to identify beliefs that are limiting us personally, in business or in our performance. You will leave with clarity and a plan of attack so that you can move forward and through whatever is holding you back from being your best. By undertaking this session, you will also learn the skills to help others make this same headway.
Saturday afternoon will be spent Recovering at St Kilda Sea Baths followed by dinner on Acland St.
We'll kick off Sunday morning training session followed by a breathing workshop led by Sarah Dawn from the Queen of Lean. We will be doing a series of breathing exercises, and learning techniques which have been proven to strengthen the body, improve the immune system and circulation, prevent disease, and help with focus, confidence, and mindfulness. You will leave this session with an understanding of the techniques and a practical experience of even their short term benefits.
On Sunday afternoon, over lunch, Karina Black will be leading our round table discussion. This session has been designed to facilitate peer support amongst members of The Barbelle Club. Topics covered will be relevant to all of us whether we coach, train, compete, run our own businesses, create or aspire. This session will be guided but open to input from all attendees. You will leave this session having had the opportunity to connect and learn from your peers.
Anna Brown from The Barbelle Club will be offering a practical workshop on DIY websites, blogs, writing and moving forward with business creatively. You'll need a laptop for this.
Jess Fraser will also be joining us for the weekend. Amongst her many talents, she is currently ranked as the 10th best female BJJ black belt in the world! We are so lucky that she will be in Australia and that she will be joining the amazing coaching lineup. She will be leading all warm up and movement sessions over the weekend. One incredibly valuable thing that lifters can learn from grapplers is how to move, play and get ready to "roll".
"I can honestly say - living remotely - I travel a lot for courses etc but this was the best thing I have done. Congratulations on an awesome idea! A well run event with the most amazing people. Anna & Jess are just the coolest chicks love love them!!!!!"
"Bloody well done. One of the best things I've had an opportunity to participate in."
"I loved every minute of it. Thank you SO much. I cannot wait for the next one".
"I actually feel as though you can't put a price tag on the experience and knowledge gained "
