The Barbelle Club aims to unify Australian women who lift across all of the strength disciplines.
CrossFit, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, strongwoman and bodybuilding.
We bring women from all of the different strength tribes together as a collective. We strive to facilitate education, empower, support, encourage and celebrate the community of women who currently train strength. It's a priority for us to help foster a community and offer services which help women improve and add to their strength based training knowledge. We support and create paid opportunities for women to teach other women.
The Barbelle Club is politically neutral and unaffiliated with any other clubs or lifting federations.
The Barbelle Club supports and encourages women in the practice and learning of all things strength training by:
Providing a platform for information sharing.
Online publication of content which specialises in coverage featuring and benefiting women who train in a variety of strength disciplines such as powerlifting, olympic lifting, strong man and crossfit;
Maintaining a positively focused website and social media feeds;
Running and facilitating workshops & seminars;
Running female only competitions;
Training and lifting apparel
Through our activities, The Barbelle Club aims to encourage and motivate more women to join us. We aim to increase the number of females of all ages participating in strength training at both recreational and competition levels as well as directly and positively affecting female retention at strength focused gyms.
